Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-30
Cliniboard (“the app”) is a personal clinical health dashboard. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored. In short: your health data stays on your device unless you choose to share it. We have no servers and never receive, transmit, or sell your data.
What data the app accesses
With your explicit permission, Cliniboard reads health data from Apple Health (HealthKit), which may include:
- Lab results, vital signs, conditions, and allergies (Apple Health Records / clinical records)
- Vitals and related measurements
The app requests read-only access. It never writes to or modifies your Apple Health data.
How the data is used
Health data is used solely to display your personal dashboard on your device — organizing your labs, vitals, and conditions into a readable summary for you and the clinicians you choose to show it to.
How the data is stored
- All data is processed and stored only on your device (in the app’s private storage).
- There is no backend server, no cloud sync, and no account.
- The app never transmits your health data off your device on its own. Data leaves your device only when you explicitly export or share it (see “Sharing your data” below).
Data sharing
- We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your health data to anyone. We never receive it.
- Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, and is never used to build a profile for purposes unrelated to your own health review.
Sharing your data (user-initiated)
Cliniboard lets you share your dashboard as a file (a .clini file) —
for example, to send to a family member or a clinician, or to move it to another device. When you
do this:
- Sharing is always initiated and controlled by you. The app never shares automatically.
- You choose how the file is delivered (e.g., AirDrop, Messages, Mail, or saving to Files) using Apple’s standard share sheet. Those services are governed by their own policies, and the recipient and their device are outside our control.
- You can choose to obfuscate identifying details (name, date of birth, and age are hidden) before sharing; your lab values and trends are still included.
- The shared file is not encrypted. Anyone who receives it can open its contents. Only share it with people you trust, and prefer obfuscation when appropriate.
- We never receive, store, or have access to anything you share — there is no server involved.
Your control
- You grant and revoke the app’s access to specific health categories at any time in the iOS Health app → Sharing, or in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
- Deleting the app removes all data it stored on your device.
Not medical advice
Cliniboard is an informational tool. It is not medical advice, not a diagnosis, and must not be used to make treatment decisions. Always consult qualified healthcare providers.
Children
Cliniboard is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
